PRIZE NOTICE:
There will be three winners selected. The top three winners will
each receive an autographed copy of
Ina's Amazon.com best seller,
Pawprints.
First Prize winner will also receive a copy of the provocative book
of prompts, "Diving Boards...Or...If You See A Man Alone on the
Beach in Mexico, It Means His Wife Is Upstairs Throwing Up In The
Room." All winners' names and stories/art will be posted on our
site. We will also announce the winners and put a link to your story in
our next Pawprints News. (Not currently a subscriber? Sign up below --

Submissions will be reviewed by a special committee from Pawprints
Literacy Plus Foundation. |

You must be over 15 years of age to enter.

Be sure to include your full name, your e-mail address, and phone and
mailing address in case we need to contact you to send you a prize!!!

|
Stories must be no more than 500 words.
|
|
Topics. Feel free to let your imagination roam, as long as you use
this month's prompt, "What a difference a 'V' makes." You may use this
prompt as your title, and/or your first or last line. |
|
You can write real stories, or total fiction. |
|
Be sure to put some feelings into your stories.
The reader how you feel or felt when you are (or were) in the midst of
your tale, if it's written in the first person. If it's about someone
else, the reader should know how that person(s) feels.

|
Photos and drawings: We'd be happy to have a photo of you to post
along with your story, and also an illustration if you like. Please send these in .jpg or .gif format. Ask a
younger kid if you need help!

We regret we will not be able to publish all submissions. But if
at first you don't succeed, try, try again in our next contest! |
If you would like to have your story, drawing and/or photo
considered for publication, you may submit materials here. All
materials become the property of Pawpress
to be reprinted in any medium, and cannot be
returned. We regret that not all stories can be published. A
portion of the proceeds of any subsequent sales in printed or
other media form will be donated to our Pawprints Literacy Plus
Foundation, devoted to promoting literacy among young people and
seniors, and enhancing respect for
animals, the environment and each other.
