You must be between the ages of 5 and 16 to enter

Be sure to include your full name, your e-mail address, and phone and
mailing address in case we need to contact you to send you a prize!!!
Also include your age and grade in school.

Stories must be no more than 500 words.
|
|
|
Topics: stories must include animals.
|
|
|
You can write real stories, about pets you have now, or about pets you
used to have.
|
|
|
You can also write about imaginary pets.
|
|
|
Be sure to put some feelings into your stories. They should tell the
reader how you feel or felt when you are (or were) around your pet (or
other people's pets).
|
|
|
Photos and drawings: please send these in .jpg or .gif format. Ask a
younger kid if you need help!
|
|
|
Winners in each category will be announced on our site on the last day
of the month, every 3 months. Look for winners of first, second and
third prizes July 31, 2007, Oct. 31, 2007, Jan. 31, 2008, and every
3 months following.

We regret we will not be able to publish all submissions. But if
at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
|
|
|
Please have your parents read the notice below before you send in your
story, photo or drawing. We must have written permission from
parents of kids 13 and younger before we can consider your story.

considered for publication, you may submit materials here. All
materials become the property of Pawpress
to be reprinted in any medium, and cannot be
returned. We regret that not all stories can be published. A
portion of the proceeds of any subsequent sales in printed or
other media form will be donated to our Pawprints Literacy Plus
Foundation, devoted to promoting literacy, and respect for
animals, the environment and each other.
