But with new animals arriving all the time, and the goal to get every single one adopted, pressure is continual for funds to support pets while in the care of the HSSM. Won't you help? This is the facility that was made area headquarters for the rescue of a huge number of pets stranded by Katrina and Rita. Not only did they have their own to take care of, they made a home for neighboring counties whose facilities were totally destroyed. |

New cages are state of the art. Walls, floors, doors are constructed with materials that resist infectious critters, to provide protection for furry friends. |
